THE TONGUE MERCHANT

Day 03: THE TONGUE MERCHANT

Can you afford the price of your words?

1

The Revelation

(Read Together)

"Not a word does he utter but there is a watcher by him, ready to record it."

— Surah Qaf, 50:18

1-Minute Context

Imagine if every word you spoke today cost you money. Would you buy the "angry words" if they were expensive? This Ayah reminds us that angels are like accurate accountants—nothing is missed.

The Activity

(The Fun Engine)

The Toothpaste Challenge

5 MinutesMess Level: Low

What you need:

  • A small travel tube of toothpaste (or a little from a big tube)
  • A paper plate
  • A spoon

The Mission Instructions:

1
Squeeze: Ask the youngest child to squeeze all the toothpaste onto the plate as fast as they can! (Make it fun!)
2
The Challenge: Hand them the spoon. Tell them: "Okay, you have 60 seconds to put all the toothpaste back inside the tube. Go!"
3
The Result: It's impossible. It's messy.

"Words are like toothpaste. Once they leave your mouth, you can never, ever stuff them back in. No matter how much you say 'sorry,' the mess is still there."

4

The Discussion

Ask one question to the room.

Easy

"How did it feel when you couldn't put the paste back?"

Hard

"Who remembers a time someone said a 'toothpaste word' to you that hurt? Did it go away?"

The "Parent-Saver"

The Application

Today's Real-World Mission:

"Catch a bad word before it escapes." If you feel like saying something mean today, catch it, close your mouth, and smile instead.
